Trying to let the server up without crash

Problem Description

Issue

The Minecraft side doen’t seem to be crashing when looking at the logs. It seems that the instance just stop, and then restart on it’s own. I can not enjoy the services this way and can’t find the cause on my own.

Reproduction Steps

  • Start server
  • Play a few minute
  • Server stop, disconnect players with java error:connection reset
  • The world is saved, but players experience a progression rollback

The server is probably crashing, you’ll want to read the crash report and other related logs, then possibly use something like the Spark mod/plugin to diagnose the issue further.

The server does not generate any crash report, and the logs cuts where the server was when we all get disconnected, then restart. This indicate to me that the issue in not related to the server itself, but rather to the instance or the hardware.

It is most likely related to the Minecraft server itself, as Minecraft is mostly singlethreaded, you can use mod/plugin like Spark on the server to diagnose it further.

If you’re sure it’s a hardware issue, you’ll need to contact Hostinger’s support.
