Minecraft player list won't update

OS Name/Version: Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS

Product Name/Version: AMP Release “Halimede” v2.4.0.10

Problem Description:

After updating to the latest version of AMP I’ve noticed that the player list for Minecraft no longer updates. The Active user count on the status page will update though. This feature was working perfectly prior to the update.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Update to latest version of amp

Actions taken to resolve so far:

  • Refreshing the browser and clearing browser cache did nothing

Can confirm, mostly same here. Same version of AMP and Ubuntu 22.04.
Player list on the console is not updating in realtime. A force refresh on the console page fixes it for me tho…

What type of server? And are you using offline mode?

Its a PaperMC server running Minecraft 1.19.2

And is it in online/offline mode?

My server is Forge, in online mode if that helps.

the server is in online mode

Can confirm. Ubuntu 22.04 Minecraft forge doesn’t show correct player count when server is online essentially had to disable sleep so it doesn’t kick players every 5 minutes

I am also experiencing the same problem … without correctly registering Active players, the server is going to sleep, i.e. kicking players.

Ubuntu 22.04 | AMP 25 | MC 1.19 + Forge | Server offline-mode

Unrelated to this issue, since you’re running offline in a local dev env.
(Already sorted this out in the Discord, just posting here for future readers)

Thank you for the amazingly swift support and reply.

Having the tip that AMP was looking for Regex, I personally solved the offline-server issue with a simple mod - thus the server can correctly stay awake when required.
