I want to put my MC server to sleep

Problem Description

Issue

It worked fine in the beginning and now there is nothing. If i remember correctly i had logs in the mc console that it tries to put the server to sleep. But now i don’t get this either. I first tough that it could be something new happening in the Minecraft world, but after some toughs i there should be at least a message in the console that stuff gets cashed etc? I’m a bit lost here - kind regards

Reproduction Steps

  • Update the Main Instance
  • Update Linux server with apt
  • Try to update the mc server instance

Disable sleep in the settings (search bar in the upper right).
If you can’t start the server again, just stop/start the instance to get it rolling.

Hey
Thank you for your fast response and sorry for my late answer.
My server does actually starts - runs and stops just fine. The only issue is, that the sleep option does not work anymore. So even if i try to put it to sleep manually it does not work. Even in the console there is no response
I updated everything. I removed the option for sleeping, restarted it and activated it again. Nothing.
Could it make sense to create a new instance and to just upload the savegame?

Sleep mode is meant for vanilla servers. Modded servers take too long to start up usually.

Hey, sorry for my late response.
So i used Modded Servers for min 5 month now including the sleep mode and it works pretty great so far. To sleep mode it’s not important how long it takes to start (i guess).
The only thing that kept the sleepmode to activate in some modpacks where mods itself preventing it from doing so.
After 1 or 2 updates from AMP it now works again
