how do i make a .zip file into a jar

i just need to know how to make a .zip file into a .jar file

Reproduction Steps

  • put in the curse forge mod in as a .zip
  • activated the server and is says that the server does not have the mods installed
  • i dont know how to make it into a jar file

You cannot make a zip file into a Jar file, that’s not how it works. The CurseForge manifest zip is for clients only and does nothing on a server.
Most modpacks have a server pack zip that you can use, where you unzip it and upload the mods and configs.
AMP’s file manager can unzip zip files if you right click them.

ok, i just opened it in java and inserted it into the directory. it said it was a amp file. but still a zip so i think it should be good.
