Problem Description

Issue

I want to change the Minecraft version to 1.16.5 and add mods. I tried to find something on YouTube but couldn’t find anything about changing the version. I used the AI included in the service to see what to do. I deleted the default minecraft_server file and replaced it with the 1.16.5 server version from the official website, but when I tried to start the server to download the required files, it gave an error and wouldn’t start. I looked for more information, deleted the instance I was trying and created a new one to get out of the previous problem. I changed the server type to Forge version 1.16.5 and installed the mods using Filezilla, but the IP address appeared as 0.0.0.0. I tried changing the server IP address and it didn’t let me connect. I tried changing the first three options of IP in the Networking section and it didn’t work either. I don’t know what else to try.

Reproduction Steps

  • I deleted the original Minecraft server file.
  • I replaced it with the 1.16.5 version from the official Minecraft website.
  • I tried to start the server.

You should be able to easily change the server version under ConfigurationServer Settings.
If you’re unable to, I’d suggest contacting your server host, as this is the forum for AMP, not support for your server host.
