Problem Description

Issue

So, I was setting this up and tried to get my friends on the server, but it didn’t work. Then, I tried to figure out what was going on. What I do is go to my router settings and fill in every port. But then, when is use the [ampinstmgr ports MinecraftBedrock01] on the Linux panel, it says the ports are closed, so I removed the ports from the Wi-Fi setting, and now it says listening except the Debugger port

Reproduction Steps

  • Make Minecraft instance
  • Go into Wi-Fi settings and copy the port numbers there, then realize that it does nothing you want it to
  • Remove what you just did.

The debugger port has nothing to do with players connecting to the server

Check that you have port forwarded correctly

How do I do that because I can’t find a video or something here to help me :sob:

Google your router model + “how to port forward”

nvm I realized that on Linux I had to use sudo ufw allow <port number>

AMP handles the firewall, unless you have disabled that
