for some reason everytime i try to join my server i time out

hey guys im new to this whole home lab thing and i need help with setting up a bedrock server using amp and cubecoders. my issue is whenever i try to join the server i always time out, even though i have the correct IP and port and i even made sure to allow the port through the firewall however i still havent had any luck. Anybody else experience this issue? I even had the issue with palworld

Reproduction Steps

  • tried different devices
  • turning my vpn off
  • checking the ports on the firewall

If you are on the same lan, try to l using the local ip first. If it doesn’t connect it is likely the firewall on the server. If it does, then either you didn’t port forward through the router correctly or your isp uses CGNAT and you will need to use a server forwarder like playit.gg.
