Next month (End of October, so 6 a little over weeks from now at time of writing ) there will be a mandatory AMP update for all AMP users which will require you to be on 2.6.2.8 or newer.
The reason for this is to accommodate a renewal of the security certificates which are due to expire soon. The version we’ve just shipped accommodates both the old and new certificates to facilitate the migration.
These renewals help keep your installations safe and secure, they are for your benefit.
AMP installations which are not up-to-date by October 31st 2025 will shut themselves down and attempt to update themselves (and then restart), but we strongly urge you do it ahead of time in case ampinstmgr needs updating which AMP can’t update automatically.
