When hovering over the 50 App Instances the following shows: “50 instances total across one or more systems, of which 10 can be used to host free servers for friends and family.”
I’m confused about the “of which 10 can be used…” what does this mean exactly? Would I not be able to use all 50 instance to create servers how I wish?
Basically it’s to do with access to AMP itself. You’re not allowed to share your key, so what you also can’t do is say to someone “Hey, have access to my AMP install and set up your own servers” except that Advanced Edition does allow this for up to 10 of your instances.
If you’re not letting other people access AMP itself and create their own instances then it doesn’t matter. Similarly if they’re just moderators etc it doesn’t matter, it’s just down to who can set up games using your licence.
As far as just setting up game servers goes though where you set it up and manage it, then that’s all fine and isn’t affected by anything for all 50 instances.
