I received notice that my license is over-provisioned. Looking at the instances on the View Activations page, only three of the 10 activations are at an IP known to me. I have not given my license info to anybody, so I’m not sure how this may have happened, but I only want the three activations at the IP that I do know. Note sure if CubeCoders can simply revoke the activations, or if I need new license info for the three I wish to keep, or what the resolution is. Please advise, thank you.
The only suggestion the email has is to upgrade to a license supporting more activations. I have no desire to do that. My license already covers the number of activations I want to use. The email has no mention of how to remove activations or otherwise bring the account back into line, aside from upgrading. The linked to account page only gives me the ability to see the activations or upgrade, no other means of dealing with them. Here, for reference, is the full text of the email I received:
We’re glad to see that you’re getting great use out of your AMP licence, but you’re currently overprovisioned for activations on this licence.
Your AMP Professional licence is valid for 5 instances. However you are currently shown to be using 10 instances over the last day.
If you have recently moved some of your instances around, such as during a migration or quickly setting up and removing instances for testing, and are actually below the limit for your current usage, then you may disregard this email. Consider taking a moment just to check your activations in your account to be sure.
Otherwise we’d kindly ask that you upgrade your licence to be in line with your current usage.
For users with a 3 or 5 instance AMP Professional licence, we offer an upgrade to AMP Advanced Edition, which covers up to 50 instances, at a discounted rate to make it easier to upgrade. Once you sign in you’ll see this offer under the Add-ons section of your account.
You can review your activations from your account at CubeCoders
