Large memory pool

OS Name/Version: Proxmox VE 8.3.0; AMP installed on VM Debian 12 no GUI command line only.

Product Name/Version: AMP installed today.

Problem Description: I installed AMP twice once with docker and once without both show same memory amounts. In Proxmox after installing AMP the VM showed 10GB of memory being used. No instances were created yet. After adding 7D2D and Vintage Story instances memory is now over 22GB of memory. Debian by itself in a VM with no GUI uses less than 2GB. I’ve never seen a program use that much memory before. Is this normal? And when I say program I mean AMP itself. Also the memory I’m referring to is from Proxmox itself under summary for the specific VM in question.

I have both of them running on a Windows 11 VM on Proxmox and the entire VM uses than 5GB of memory.

I’ve found the memory usage in Proxmox usually tends to be wrong, you’ll want to check usage via the VM’s OS (top on Debian based stuff, and Task Manager on Windows)

Hey thanks a bunch for the quick reply. I checked htop and it shows 6.21G of 23.5G so yea you were right. I suppose I can drop the memory usage down to just 12gb.
