Issue with Instance Manager stopping Instances

Problem Description: ADS and Instance Manager not getting status of instance when stopping causing an error. When stopping an instance in the web UI, the instance will stop, but the notification hangs waiting for an update. When stopping the instance via command line using instance manager the follow error is received.

This shows from the WebUI where the instance was stopped, but the notification never goes away. I have left it for up to an hour and the only way to get it to remove the notification is to restart the ADS instance.

This causes issues when running an update using IM to upgradeall as it gets the error on stopping the instances and fails out. I have to manually stop each instance before I execute the update or use the installer.

This issue began after I upgraded Instance Manager from 2.5.1 to 2.6.0

Steps to reproduce:

  • Step 1 - Stop Instance in Web UI, Notification Hangs, but instance is stopped
  • Step 2 - Stop Instance in command line using Instance Manager and the instance is stopped, but error is received

Actions taken to resolve so far: Updated to latest AMP version, deleted instance and created a new instance.
