Is there a way to change the "file" that is loaded on start of the Server?

OS Name/Version: Debian GNU/Linux 12

Product Name/Version: CS2

Problem Description:

Is there a way to change the servers executeable on the fly? Like entering a new path anywhere?

Otherwise is there a way to edit the “cs2” file from the “Last Executable” down below?
When I open the file, it just gives me some gibberish stuff like its encrypted.

Is there any way? I want to execute another shell script whilst the server is starting to check for a specific file before everything starts, so i need to put it into the server boot file.

Last Executable

/AMP/counter-strike2/730/game/bin/linuxsteamrt64/cs2

Actions taken to resolve so far:

  • tried to edit the “cs2” file → Its encrypted

That file is an executable. What are you trying to do and why?

I’am trying to execute another script to activate metamod automatically after an update in the gameinfo.gi file.

I tried to just tick the box or changed the switch for “Install Metamod” but that just downloads the files for metamod, it does not edit the gameinfo file the way I need it.

So is there any way to edit this “executeable” or change what executeable is executet?
