I am currently using AMP 2.7 on Debian. I see that the Factorio instance that I’ve created has the Sleep mode options in the instance template (and I’ve turned it on), but it does not seem to do anything. Once all the players log off the server, it does not get put to sleep. Is sleep mode just not supported for Factorio?
It’s not supported for all games and not for all hardware. If the game takes longer than 25 seconds to start up for example because the system isn’t fast enough (or the map is too big, etc) then sleep mode isn’t available.
Hmm. It looks like my Factorio instance shouldn’t be taking anywhere near that 25 seconds to start. (It’s a vanilla instance that isn’t very large since it only has a few hours played on it) From logs its looking like it is only taking a few seconds to start normally after a daily backup.
What can I check to see why AMP may not be putting the instance to sleep? I don’t see anything in the “AMPLOG-(timestamp).log” file that indicates anything.
