Is a direct to cloud backup possible

As the title says, I have a specific minecraft instance with a world size which is fairly big (100GB) on a 200GB disk. It runs fine however I cant backup because I dont have double the size of the server avalible.

In such a situation direct to S3 cloud backups would be usefull here, I am assuming this is not possible?

It’s not possible I’m afraid. The whole archive has to be built before it can be uploaded. Main reason is that S3 requires that you know the size of what you’re uploading before you upload it.
