How to unblock?

Steps to reproduce:

• Step 1 - Setup SFTP
• Step 2 - Try and join
• Step 3 - Watch your IP instantly get blocked

Actions taken to resolve so far:
Yes User has role to join via SFTP
Yes I’ve used WinSCP and FileZilla, IP is banned, cannot join at all, instant block
Yes I’ve tried tired on a different PC, it insta Blocks IP
Yes Ports are open

What is the name of your user? If you’ve used one of the honeypot usernames then it’ll get insta-banned.

Honeypot Usernames

If “Honeypot” mode is turned on for SFTP, AMP will automatically ban IP addresses that try to use any of the following usernames. The ban remains in effect until AMP is restarted. If you inadvertently trigger a ban, restarting AMP will lift it. Make sure you’re not using any of these usernames to log into AMP apache debian ftp mysql oracle pi postgres root sshd test ubuntu user

thanks for the hand, and just for curiosity, how would one disabled honeypot mode if that’s even possible?

However we strongly recommend that you do not do this as you will likely be inundated and have your logs filled with bad requests, and instead just don’t use the usernames that are part of the honeypot list.
