Instance Deployment Default Setting Syncing

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to learn more about default deployment / instance settings in the controller and target enterprise hosting configurations. I believe the default settings do not sync from your default auth server. I am assuming I will need to copy / setup these deployment defaults for each target node that is hosting services? I did some testing and believe this is true but wanted to discuss and get confirmation.

If this is true, is the Site Feedback forum section the correct place to make a feature requestion / suggestion? I believe syncing deployment defaults from your primary auth server to be a large time saving feature when adding new target nodes. Would be super cool if you could control the syncing of the specific node setting so you could select which do or do not replicate down.

Just did some testing, and they don’t sync, but it all works fine if you’re only creating instances via the Controller, as the Controller will pass it’s defaults in during instance creation.
Only if you create the instance in the Target’s web interface, then it pulls the Target’s defaults.
Also note that the defaults only apply to new instances and not the existing ones (personally I would love a mass-reconfigure utility for such situations).

For technical feedback/feature suggestions you should use the AMP GitHub page, otherwise it’s likely to get lost.

Thanks potato really appreciate a reply! I will try to get in an official github feature request later this week. I also think mass-reconfiguration is important.
