OS Name/Version:
Windows 11 Professional (64-bit 23H2 v22631.3737)
Product Name/Version:
AMP Release “Callisto” (v2.5.0.14, built 12/06/2024 23:29)
Problem Description:
I was wondering how I would go about changing the default SFTP port used by AMP, specifically my ADS instance (if this is even possible). If it is not, can this be implemented in a future update, as it would surely be of use to me (and likely many others who would like to customize the ports of their instances to their preference)?
I have looked in the following places in my installation and have found no reference/location of any potentially relevant setting that would allow me to do this (both by searching “SFTP” and the default port currently in use, which I will leave out for security reasons at this time):
- AMP’s ADS config file (the .cfg one in the installation directory. Yes, I’m aware it’s not the best idea to edit these, but I was looking to see if the field even existed).
- The “.kvp” file for the ADS instance I’m mentioning (again, same as above).
- Every page of the “System Settings”, “Security and Privacy”, “External Services”, and “Instance Deployment” pages in the web panel (and their relevant sub-pages).
With all this said, I eagerly await a response. I have also included steps to “reproduce the issue,” in order to follow the rule of filling in all the fields. However, it is simply just a question of changing the default settings.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Purchase AMP (I have the “Advanced Edition”)
- Download AMP from the website (CubeCoders)
- Run the Windows installer, following all the steps.
- In my case, with my network setup, I needed to change the default IP binding to the internal IP of the tower hosting the servers. This was achieved via the command:
ampinstmgr --RebindInstance [INSTANCE_NAME]
(in an Administrator PowerShell), followed by the desired controller type, IP, and port. - After all this was said and done, I (re)started the instance, and it is now up and running. I just do not know if there is a way to change the default ADS SFTP binding (or the SFTP binding of any of the instances for that matter).
In all honesty, it’s probably staring at me blatantly in the face. So, if that is the case, I apologize for my lack of competence.
Regardless, thanks in advance for the continued support,
