Problem Description:

Hi! I’m just having some trouble with port forwarding and getting a but confused as to what is going on.

I see when I create my minecraft server I get a primary endpoint ip which is my local IP address followed by a string of numbers, (which is not 25565) as well as in network port status none of the ports listed are 25565.

I’ve gone into my network settings and configured my network to port forward my local IP to 25565.

Im curious as to how to change the game port as I’ve seen on other message boards that there is a firewall section that I am not seeing.

Yet, when I put in my public IP I still get nothing and am now even more confused as ever.

Any Help here would be greatly appreciated.

If your instance is configured to use a port other than 25565, logically you would port forward that other port

Correct, I think this seems to be a larger issue with my IP as I’m using eero and something isnt matching up. I made the server ip and the ip of the computer the same (which makes sense) In eero, I port forwarded to 25601 (the one listed on the server), I have also port forwarded from my ISP as well. The ISP has the computer IP as a different IP then the ones before. Im curious what I should be connecting to as nothing is working. I’ve tried the public IP as well as what the ISP has listed (this works but only on local networks) so I’m getting somewhere lol

Sorry, but what you wrote is impossible to follow

Give actual numbers, even if just the first octect and the last octet of any public ip. No need to redact private IPs like 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x
