I have tried every method. Followed the forums. Created multiple instances and am always running into new errors. The two most frequent ones are 1. The server.jar is corrupted or the server loads but not with NeoForge, just vanilla. No matter how many times i download neoforge install it, rename it etc.
Works fine for me:
NeoForge mod loading, version 47.1.84, for MC 1.20.1 with MCP 20230612.114412
NeoForge v47.1.84 Initialized
- Created a new instance
- Managed it
- Deleted the plugins folder and server.properties, emptied trash
- Selected Java 17 and 6144M Memory Limit under Java and Memory (could be 4096M)
- Selected Feed The Beast (New Source) as Server Type under Server and Startup
- Selected FTB Presents Direwolf20 1.20 (v1.16.1) as FTB Modpack
- Clicked Download/Update
- Waited until finished
- Selected NeoForge as Server Type
- Selected 47.1.84 (mc 1.20.1) as NeoForge Version
- Clicked Start on Status page (could also have clicked Download/Update again)
- Waited until installed
- Clicked start
- Done
That is, I followed the modded guide as linked to you earlier.
BTW, no idea where you get v1.20.0 as the modpack version from - v.1.6.1 is the latest version for MC 1.20: Feed The Beast - FTB Presents Direwolf20 1.20
If you are referring instead to the modpack for MC 1.21, the latest version is v1.12.0: Feed The Beast - FTB Presents Direwolf20 1.21. You need Java 21 for that pack and the NeoForge version is 21.1.145.
That version also worked fine:
NeoForge mod loading, version 21.1.145, for MC 1.21.1
