OS Name/Version: zorin os 17

Product Name/Version: AMP Release “Phobos” v2.6.2, built 28/05/2025 21:22

Problem Description: Gmod server complaining that the network thing is bound to 0.0.0.0 when its clearly not

If you're sharing console output, logs, or commands you have run, please make sure to use code tags
(3x backticks for blocks, 1x backtick for a single line) to help make posts readable. This also
provides syntax highlighting.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Step 1: attempt to create a garry’s mod instance
  • Step 2: wait for it to finish and click start
  • Step 3: see error showing that it cant start

Actions taken to resolve so far:
restarting the instance, recreating the instance
checking all settings and putting all settings to something else and back again

You must select a specific IP address for this server to function correctly in AMP. Selected: 0.0.0.0. Loopback (127.0.0.1) and Any IP addresses (0.0.0.0) are not supported. You must edit the ‘Application IP Binding’ setting network settings from ADS using the pencil icon and select the ‘Network and Ports’ tab.

We’re investigating this issue now. Could you please show me the contents of the support tab inside that instance using the “Copy to clipboard” option please?

AMP 2.6.2 broke port allocations and IP bindings. You have to wait for the fixes

Is there any estimate ? Because if it’s 1-2 days ok why not, but if we talk about a week or more I have to look at alternative solutions

No idea. I’m just passing on the info

@Mike Just to confirm, this is not resolved in the latest update: v2.6.2, built 01/06/2025 14:20?

We’ve got a fix for this available to test in the Development build if you want to try that out. It allows instances in Docker containers that don’t use host mode networking to make smarter decisions about how their IP binding behaves.

If you’re using docker with host mode networking then this issue doesn’t affect you in the same way.

not using docker
