Feature Deprecation Notice: LDAP Authentication

Removal of LDAP Authentication Supoprt from AMP

During the update to AMP 2.6, support for LDAP became impractical due to a lack of support for it in the Linux version of the underlying frameworks powering AMP and as a result LDAP has not worked properly in AMP for some time on non-Windows platforms.

Additionally, in AMP 2.6.1 we introduced support for OIDC based SSO authentication providers such as Authentik which has been working very well and is a feature we will continue to develop and improve upon.

Due to these factors, we have decided that the LDAP functionality will be retired and eventually removed entirely. We have begun the process of removing references to LDAP from our marketing materials.

For users who are currently using LDAP for authentication, our recommended migration path is to use Authentik and have it sync with your LDAP provider which will allow you to keep using the exact same credentials and roles without any appreciable downtime or migration stress.
