Endpoint IP Adress

OS Name/Version: Debian 11

Product Name/Version: Decadus v 2.4.8

Problem Description:
How can I change the displayed Endpoint IP address of an instance? I’m running a Server with an separate firewall between lan and wan. My external IP ist forwarded via nat to the internal IP. Everything works as expected, but the displayed IP with 0.0.0.0 can be irritating. I would prefer to display the external IP.

In the networking configuration tab my external IP is not listed.

For me it’s just an optical issue… I just want to display my external IP in the instance overview.

Actions taken to resolve so far:
Changed IP Adress in genericmodule.kvp and in the ampconfig.conf had no effect for the displayed IP in the instance overview.

0.0.0.0 just means “all network interfaces”, best to leave it as that to prevent headaches. In general, AMP can’t use IP addresses that aren’t owned/attached to the machine it’s running on.
