Task

im trying to access the xml\json/cfg files for my dayz server.

Problem Description

Issue

I have modded many dayz servers through hosting services but never on my own computer. friend recommended this to host the server on my new pc because it provided auto server restarts and auto updates. i can not find the server files. file manager has some files but missing the important files that i need to edit like types.xml

can someone please help me get what i need to continue working on my server.

You’ll want to go to Manage of the DayZ server you’re wanting to edit then click on File Manager.

From there go to mpmissions > Click the directory for the map you’re using > db

You’ll find all the files you’re looking for in there. :smile:

thats the problem there is no mpmissions folder.

Manage/File manager/ No mpmissions folder.

That’s not good, you need to delete the instance and start all over as that folder is created upon instance creation.

i reinstalled the instance with the same results. i manually added the server files and it runs and i can join it now.

Now i am having trouble setting up automatic restarts with messages. do you happen to have a guide or tutorial for setting these up?

I suggest using CFTools.

i figured out my issue with the missing folder.

I am trying to find out how to use AMP to start/stop/restart/update the server with warning messages. I paid for this service so at this point im not really seeing a reason to use another service yet. I appreciate the links for CFTools. Have you used the AMP schedule these or is there a customer service area you can point me to?

I’m playing around with it right now but you would need to Manage your DayZ server then go to Schedule and add a new Trigger. From what I understand, the trigger you want to choose is “Run a command in one hour, with warnings (non-blocking)” but don’t hold me to that as I’m testing it right now.
