Problem Description

Issue

I am having issues getting my css server to utilize the source.python plugin. i understand it needs c++ compiler and have installed the equivalent gcc/g++ program into my ubuntu server yet it fails to start when i add source.python, sourcemod, metamod, and wcs plugin alone will launch fine but the python is needed to allow the wcs to activate. any help would be great.

Reproduction Steps

  • add source.python to cstrike directory and start.
  • remove source.python and all other files related and restart the server
  • now you can notice the issue, proceed to cry and smash things relentlessly.

That’s because you’re using Docker mode. Installing things on the host won’t affect what’s in the container. If you need extra things to be installed then you’ll need to disable Docker mode for this instance.

i tried this and have zero success. any other reccomendations?

Do you get any logs or errors that indicate a problem?

it is creating lots of logs but it does not put anything in the log just an empty file
