Problem Description

Issue

Hi, I’ve made my own custom modpack and uploaded it to the mods folder on the server. All the mods and shaders work fine besides the world gen. Items from the world gen mods still appear in the creative inventory, so I don’t think it’s a problem with the mod itself. I tested the modpack on my laptop to see if it would work, and it has worked perfectly on my local machine every time. The three main mods I’m trying to get working are: Terralith, Better Nether, and Better End. I’m sort of lost on what to do after searching the internet. I also tried uploading the world that I knew would generate properly but it gave me an error message that said something was wrong with my world. I don’t know what this could be since the same mods that I used to generate that world are the ones in the server’s mod folder. I would appreciate any help or advice.

Reproduction Steps

  • Install world gen mods.
  • Attempt to generate a world using said mods through the server.
  • The world gen mods do not take effect, leaving the world with all vanilla generation.

Some world gen mods need specific generation settings under Server Settings, since you can’t select the world/biome type like you can in singleplayer. Best bet would be to refer to the mods’ documentation on what to add.
Worst case you can start generating the world in singleplayer, save and exit, then upload it to AMP over SFTP (the world gen settings are baked into the world file, so it should just work)
