Problem Description

Issue

Whenever I attempt to access modded items in-game I get the following error and am disconnected from the server.
Synmar lost connection: Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: Failed to decode packet ‘serverbound/minecraft:set_creative_mode_slot’

Reproduction Steps

  • Added mods on client and server ends
  • start game in creative mode
  • attempt to move any modded items to toolbar

Make sure that the server is running the right modloader and that the mods have started correctly

replying in hopes of a solution

My advice there still stands. If you don’t use the right modloader+version things won’t load right. And if things still aren’t loading right you need to read the log.

Same thing happens even in a paper minecraft server with NBT items. I get kicked off the server with the exact same error, it seems to be an issue with anything that edits the creative menu. For example i have a mod installed that allows me to take command blocks out the creative menu, but it kicks me from the server whenever i take it out. using fabric btw

It would be an issue with the mods themselves though, nothing related to AMP

Oh I see, thanks it worked
