Problem Description

Issue

Hello, I’m trying to create a Minecraft server with Forge to run mods, but I would like to add some plugins that would be essential for gameplay. However, I don’t know which “server type” to use for this, since I did some research and found out that Spigot does not support mods, please, would you have any suggestions or help? Thanks in advance.

Reproduction Steps

  • Tried to put plugins
  • Tried to put mods
  • Tried to put both, but don’t work

Hi Canal_Xabirau,

Please link me one of your plugins and I will help you to find the right one.

Plugins and mods cannot be run on the same server normally.
Though with servers softwares such as Magma, Mohist, and Arclight, you can do so.
These Hybrid servers should never be used in a production environment though, as Bukkit and Forge were not made with the intention of working together, so you can run into some game breaking issues.

What @ThePotatoKing says is correct.

These Hybrid servers should never be used in a production environment

I tried the plugin PlaceholderAPI-2.11.4 Plugin with:

Forge 1.19.4 45.1.0 + Arclight 1.19.4 1.0.5

Placeholder expansion registration initializing…
Fetching available expansion information…
Successfully registered external expansion: player [2.0.7]
1 placeholder hook(s) registered!
A total of 1 placeholder hook(s) are active:
player

This plugin works, others need to be checked.
