Problem Description

Issue

Exactly what the title says, I am unable to run the Forge server with or without mods installed (even after changing to the correct forge version). What can I do to fix this?

Reproduction Steps

  • Change server type from Classic to Forge
  • Change Forge version to correct version associated with the modpack.
  • Download modpack (Crazy Craft Updated) from official website.
  • Create mods folder in server files.
  • Install modpack.
  • Server fails in five seconds.
  • Uninstall modpack.
  • Server fails in five seconds.

Make sure you are using java 8 for CCU and double check the forge version

It is currently on Java 8, and the forge version is still correct. Do I need to put the forge version in one of the file directories or leave it where it is?

It also tells me to check the logs, but this is my first time making a minecraft server, so I can’t understand what the problem might be.

Make sure you have it auto select the server jar file and you have it setup in the server settings to use forge with the right version. Now sometimes, amp has a problem with switching the java version over and to fix that is to just switch it to another version, wait a minute and then switch back

That was exactly it, I switched it to Java 11 and it’s running perfectly now. Thanks a bunch my man!

Cool. No problem. If you have any more problems, feel free to post on here or join the discord as we can help
