Problem Description

Issue

Hi there, I just started my own server and installed a couple of mods. They show up in the file manager as .jar files, but I can’t get them to work. If I search in the Console for plugins, it gives the following error: Unknown or incomplete command, see below for error “plugins”<–[HERE]

Could you get me on the right track? I would love Dynmap to work. Also Easyhome seems like a good addition to my server.

Reproduction Steps

  • Went to plugins on my server and installed a couple
  • Restarted the server to make them work
  • I can’t get the plugins to work

Are you using a server type that supports plugins such as Paper or Spigot?

Thanks for your reply! Probably not. I’ve installed the plugins from the hostinger panel. In this article I read about Spigot: How to Install Minecraft Plugins on Game Panel | Hostinger Help Center

Edit* I see I need to configure the server to Spigot, but when I click download it gives the following message:
Download / Update failed : The tools path ‘./Minecraft/spigotbuild’ contains an invalid character.

How can I fix that?

That’s a known bug in the current version of AMP. Use the paper option instead for now.

Thanks for your fast reply. I’ve selected Paper as a server type and this seems to work. However, the server won’t restart and in the logs it show some plugins (i’ve installed previously) are not working. For EssentialX (and others) it showsInvalid plugin.yml - is this error showing up because of the server type Paper configuration being incompatible?
LuckyPerms does work though.

*edit; I’ve installed the minecraft server with the offical server type and now I’m changing it to paper. My world is already build in the offical type. Do I get the Invalid plugin.yml because of the difference in server type?

Download LuckPerms directly from Spigot’s site and upload it to AMP, there could be an error with the third party plugin downloader
