Problem Description

Issue

I have tried installing 1.21 neoforge modpacks multiple times just to test and see if it was user error with choosing the neoforge version. It came up multiple times and always showed the channels that were missing. Also tested forge servers and those seemed to work just fine. I would appreciate if there was a way to make neoforge work without switching everything around to Forge. Also wanted to include that whenever I installed a version of Neoforge I always got an error that showed the same version that I was using.

Reproduction Steps

  • Make a server
  • Import the server files
  • Swap to Neoforge version 1.21.XXX
  • Start server
  • Join and get missing channels
  • Back to server listing
  • Get either “Connection Reset” or “Use 1.21.XXX version of Neoforge”

Make sure that the server Jar is set to Autoselect

Just ran it again to make sure but I still got the same errors after trying multiple times, if there is anything else I may be missing I am more than willing to try it out.

Do you have all of the mod .jars in the mods folder, or have you not gotten to that step yet? And the NeoForge version in AMP matches the same one you see in the bottom corner of the main menu?

So what happened is that the server files from curseforge didn’t have the mods folder in them, appreciate the help!

Just to help others, some newer modpacks don’t have the mods pre-installed, make sure that you have them all downloaded. I had this issue with both ATM10 and Craftoria.

That’s usually because you need to use the server pack zip found under Additional Files on CurseForge. The client manifest zip doesn’t do anything on servers

So i actually ended up going to their discord server to see if I had missed anything, and there was just a readme that I couldn’t read lol. All I had to do was run the startserver.bat file in the server files folder. I was just used to larger, preinstalled server files.

Ah getcha, gotta love the weird ones with the install scripts lol
