Problem Description

Issue

So i created a server following all the instructions as said in the video, and set it as a forge 1.16.5, got all my mods in, but when i started the server and joined from my modded client, only mods working were the HUD mods like JourneyMaps and JEI, all the other content mods are just not working at all. It doesn’t even look like the server is looking into them at all

Reproduction Steps

  • Create a server
  • Set it as a Forge 1.16.5 server
  • Add a mods folder with all my mods
  • Enter the server
  • Only mods working are JourneyMaps and JEI

Be sure that you leave the jar as autoselect and not the minecraft_server.jar, as that is the vanilla Jar

Put it on autoselect, but now the server won’t start at all, saying “The Minecraft server stopped within 5 seconds of starting, this is not a fault with AMP - you should check your Minecraft servers log files to find out why it is unable to start.”

If you were to read the log as the error suggests, it would probably be a Java runtime error, since Forge 1.16.5 needs Java 8 or Java 11

the log only contained a lot of symbols, now i’ve changed the java version and i’m gonna see if i can run it, thanks
edit: So now when i connect to the server my game instantly crashes and shows this error: The game crashed whilst rendering entity in world
Error: java.lang.NullPointerException: Rendering entity in world
