Problem Description

Issue

im trying to boot the server with forge, and mods, as far as i know i have done everything, i have done a mods folder and updated the minercraft version (to an older version), but i still cant boot into the right version because the new version still comes back after deleting and replaycing it doesnt help either, so i thought it might be something up with the world but after deleting that it didnt help either, so i have tried doing it on a frash instance with 1 mod and no updates and so on and done everything the same but now i just got a wierd massage when i join the server (i cant remember but it was just some words together(in minecraft)

(my testing mod was traveler´s backpack)

Reproduction Steps

  • updated minercaft version to forge 52.0.23 (1.21.1)
  • made a mod folder and placed my mod in it (same version)
  • then booted and error or mod not installed/+wrong minercaft version

Make sure the Jar is set to Autoselect.
There’s an FAQ here:

i did bouth options and i still got the error massage ,getsockopt’’

You’ll have to check your Linux system’s firewall settings then
