Problem Description

Issue

So I copied the zip folder of the mod im trying to play with on my server within the mods folder I created and after I set up the correct forge version and everything I try connecting to it and when I join it’s just a simple vanilla game no mods installed or anything. How do I make sure the mod is installed right on the server?

Reproduction Steps

  • added mods folder in directory
  • copied zip folder of mod I want to use over to mods server
  • after I made sure the correct forge version is selected on the server and updated I try to join the server

Make sure the Jar is set to [Autoslect], otherwise make sure that you’ve put the mods in the mods directory

Hi!
I’m having the same issue but can’t find a way to check the [autoselect] setting on the jar file of the mod. Can you explain ?

The server’s Jar should be set to [Autoselect] under Server Settings, and you must have the right mod loader and version selected

The server’s Jar is already set to [Autoselect]
Concerning the the mod loader, there are many versions of Forge (for 1.18.2 in my case) but I don’t know which one to choose. Are they all the same ?

They aren’t all the same, the modpack should usually say what specific version of Forge to select
