  • Crated instance. Started server. Waiting to install pixelmon mod to server.

You need to set the server type to Forge and install the Pixelmon mod/modpack yourself

Okay I changed the server type to Forge. I downloaded the Pixelmon mod pack from Forge. Now I’m wait for the jar files to upload into the plugins folder. Correct?

No, modded servers use a mods folder
You want to download the Server modpack (at the bottom of the page under Additional Files), otherwise there may be some incompatibilities from client-only mods.
Just upload all the files from the server pack into the main directory of the Minecraft server

I uploaded the zip file but now the server wont run

You need to actually unzip the folder. (right click the filename or click the ... on the right to bring up some options)

  • Make sure AMP is set to use Forge version 1.16.5-36.2.34
  • Set the Jar to [Autoselect]
  • Press Download/Update
  • Select Java 8 under ConfigurationJava and MemoryJava Version
