I have been having an issue regarding getting workshop content to install on GMOD for a dedicated server. I went through and started manually adding things just to be sure it wasn’t being missed and have since reverted to the only thing I add in being the API Key. This is all done with the server off as I heard it will not save otherwise. There is no sign of an attempt by the server to grab the workshop collection however the server does run and myself and others have been able to join it (albeit vanilla). Workshop Collection is a public test one that I did just to make sure it wasn’t a problem with the Collection ID, and I have refreshed my Key a couple times at this point to make sure it wasn’t that. It should be set to it’s own IP as well (still that of the host machine just not a loopback anymore).
I have been beating my head against this one for hours and will happily provide any information needed!
Reproduction Steps
Start Server
Manually add in the API Key to App.CommandLineArgs of GenericModule.kvp
Is it possible that it’s just now showing the downloading of addons in the console for me or does it not do that to begin with?
The reason why all this came up for me is I was struggling to find both the gamemodes and maps and how I would add them to the custom modes. I am aware of the names but I was looking for the files in order to add what I wanted. I apologize though it seems to have downloaded at least.
Is there a way for me to check the files or see what I should be calling in those parameter boxes for these things. (This is my first time making a gmod server on my own and I may have just been unfamiliar with the process)
