Problem Description

Issue

When installing Mods, Most mods require installing additional info in additional folders. For example, Types files will need to be added to the Types.xml. I have added these parameters several times, saved them, selected update instance and all parameters are reset back to default. So, the mods are loaded, but they do not work with the files being reset back to default. I have searched and seen where a few others have asked this same question and they have went unanswered. So far i have been unable to make any mods work with this program do to the resets back to vanilla server files. Looking for information on how to correct this. Thanks

Reproduction Steps

  • Added server insstance, set up server
  • Added mods and added mod configs.
  • Loaded mods, saved/loaded configs, Updated instance

Modifying the files and knowing where to place them isn’t the problem. The problem is that the files are being wiped and set back to vanilla settings on this AMP System when you select update. Another issue is that if you add a server password it breaks the server. Take it out and server works fine.

AMP runs steamcmd with validation, hence the behaviour you see. Using a central economy file is meant to bypass needing to edit the default configs directly

Tho steamcmd probably validates cfgeconomycore.xml as well … stupid system lol

Also, no issue with adding a server password to my server. If that was an issue, it would have been raised by someone else before

Thanks for the info, makes more sense now. Also, thanks for the password info, at least now i know there’s a bug or something on my end with it.
