Problem Description
Issue
Im trying to run dire wolfs newest modpack (https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/ftb-presents-direwolf20-s14 )
But everything i try has the pack failing to start.
There are Server exe files avalible but im unsure how to run these on this system>
Is there something i am missing? is there an easy way to get this running here?
Please help i am losing my mind a little.
Reproduction Steps
Installed NeoForge (double checked version against modpack requirements)
Uploaded the mods to a mods folder crated by myself
Uploaded said mods and addons to the mods folder
Started the server and removed mods that caused server to fail to start.
You can use AMP’s FTB server type to install the pack, then all you need to do is select the NeoForge server type and the version of NeoForge the pack uses.
Uploading the client mods will lead to server crashes that you’ll need to debug, so it’s suggested to either upload the server pack, or let AMP install the mods.
Forge Frequently Asked Questions
How do I run Forge using: start.sh/start.bat?
No need! AMP handles all that for you. Just select the version of Forge you’ll need, hit update, and start your server.
Where do I put custom start up arguments?
You can find this options under:
Configuration → Minecraft → Java and Memory → Additional java options
I installed a modpack using AMP’s FTB downloader, why did it start in Vanilla? or The update manager reported a successful update, but ./Minecraft/minecr…
well it looks like i now get the error, Getsockopt
That’s just a generic error, it can be caused by firewall issues, IPv6 issues, etc.
I’ve never had the issue myself, so I can’t help debug further with that.
Also thanks for your help Thepotatoking. ipv6 it was.
