Problem Description

Issue

I changed the server plugins from one to the other and back, and no change. Still installs 1.20.2 version of Craftbukkit. I changed it from that version to stable, and it still installs 1.20.2 instead of 1.20.4, and am not able to login to the server. Is it safe to assume that the previous version of Craftbukkit was uploaded as the most recent version by mistake?

Reproduction Steps

  • I set the exact version of the plugin, and it still only installed the previous version.
  • I set the build to stable, this still only installed the previous version
  • I updated AMP to see if that would affect it in any way. Same results.

Try switching over to Paper, it doesn’t have a build step and is faster, while supporting the same plugins

This includes worldguard and worldedit, correct? I’m hoping to maintain those.

Yeah, supports all the same plugins, since Paper is a performant fork of Spigot

An update on that attempt: It seemed that there were some incompatibilities with Paper and Worldguard, and WorldEdit, as the commands were not able to operate, even when updated. In case someone else has a similar issue. I had to go back to 1.20.2 and continue to use that version of CraftBukkit for it to continue working.
Thanks for informing me of those options, though. I’ll see if I can find a path forward for 1.20.4 in the future while figuring this out in the meantime.

Oh weird, maybe the plugins need updating? (if they don’t have a new release you’ll need to wait for them to fix it though) Though there haven’t been too many changes to the bukkit API from 1.20.2 to .4
