Problem Description
Issue
(warning, I’m a novice at all of this and am learning as i go) I’ve been trying to run a dedicated squad server on a intel i7 machine running ubuntu server 24.04. I’ve changed/removed the multi home settings and that’s allowed me to find the server in the browser but the ping is at 99,999 and the console says ICMP ping failed. I’ve forwarded every port i can think of, triple checked my firewall (router and machine) I’m now at the point i can join the server but others not on my network cannot see or join (even when trying trough steam join friends) I’m reaching out in hopes of someone walking me through troubleshooting or telling me I’ve made a simple mistake. Feel free to reach out anytime. Thank you for your time and support
Reproduction Steps
- Port forwarded all ports
- allowed ICMP pings through firewall on router and server machine
- deleted Multi home from Generic file
