Issue

how the f do i even port forward via playit gg to use this software server im losing my mind

Reproduction Steps

  • Created instance, entered admin password, can join myself on steam/zomboid, friends cant
  • tried to set up port forwarding with playit gg and it sucks
  • still no luck reinstalling playit

Port forwarding and playit.gg are two different things. If you can’t port forward in your router’s firmware/using your ISP, then playit.gg is what you’ll need to tunnel your join connections. I haven’t personally used playit.gg but I would refer you to their documentation instead of here. There are plenty of tutorials for tunneling Minecraft connections, so I assume they’re not terribly different for Zomboid if you just replace the ports and be mindful of whether they need TCP or UDP.
