Problem Description
Issue
So my palworld server after installing the new update works but anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour it will disconnect all players but the server stays running just cpu and ram usage drops to zero. there are no error logs or nothing that i can find as the server hasn’t crashed it just keeps disconnecting and i have no idea what to do. I have to click restart then its all fine again for 5-60 minutes then bam disconnect. I even made a new instance and the same thing is happening. I have no mods installed either, just vanilla PalWorld.
Reproduction Steps
- start palworld server
- play for 5-60 minutes
- and wait for the server to kick you
i got the same exact problem
Same here. It seems very random and then when we try to reconnect it gives this error:
incompatible_unique_net_id
The only fix seems to be restarting the server.
I installed a separate Palworld server via SteamCMD, copied all the server files from AMP to there and now it’s running perfectly fine. So, it must be something in AMP (maybe a certain setting or parameter that comes along that causes this).
Am running AMP 2.8 on Windows Server 2025.
Edit: This update might fix it if I understand correctly: AMP 'Proteus' 2.8.0 Release Notes - #3 by IceOfWraith
got the same problem, looks like the autosave is again the problem, if i take it from 30 seconds to 1h the Server runs about 1h.
a standalone Palworld Server outside from AMP is running nice.
[Edit]
AMP is UP2Date.
Same Problem.
I startet the Palworld Server without AMP Interface but from AMP and get
Failed to save. Failed copy from backup.
[2026-07-13 16:21:32] [LOG] UniQue left the server.
For me 2.8.0.2 seem to have fixed the issue so far (my wife has been playing for hours without issues today).
I saw on their Discord that they had this advice as well:
If you have an existing instance with a corrupted save, you can do the update steps above. Then delete the /Pal/Saved folder within File Manager. Update the game server inside the instance again and all should be well.
But I can imagine if you spend some hours into your save already that isn’t a nice solution.
spend many hours. atm i use my own Webinterface. that worked fine …
