Problem Description

Issue

The other day the server started to lag, and I got a notification that a limiter was applied to the cpu. I clicked the button to remove this limiter, and the lag stopped. I also upgraded my plan to a double core cpu. Everything was fine for a day, and then it started lagging again, even though it’s only using %50 of the cpu now. How might I test what has changed, or what is causing the lag?

Reproduction Steps

  • Started up the server
  • Upgraded my plan for more Cpu power
  • Switched to Paper instead of Spigot

There’s no limiter like that in AMP that I know of, if you’re using Hostinger that would be their issue (this is the forum for AMP, not Hostinger support).
If you want to figure out what’s causing lag, you’d want to run a profiler using Paper’s built-in commands (read their docs for more info, I don’t remember the command off the top of my head)

In terms of upgrading your plan, Minecraft is mostly singlethreded, so it only benefits a little from having another core available.
