Problem Description

Issue

Hello, currently the server is using 3 GB of RAM when no one is online. When a player is online their ping is awful. For example, it takes about 15 seconds to open a chest, while the player is located in the same country as the server host (in this case, England). This should not be the case as, while I do have plugins installed, they should not cause nearly this much lag. Is there a way to lessen the lag/ ping? Thanks

Reproduction Steps

  • Restarting the server
  • Looked at the logs
  • Restored server backup from when the server was not lagging

To note, this is not Hostinger support, and we cannot help you with anything network related, just stuff related to the panel itself.
I’d suggest checking the player’s actual ping, and checking the TPS, as both can cause “lag” in differing ways, and vary in how you can solve either.
