Problem Description

Issue

Everyone has been telling me they haven’t been able to join the server. At first, it told them they weren’t invited to the server but updating the server fixed that. However, when people tried joining again, the server simply wouldn’t start. Everyone gets stuck on the “connecting to external server” screen and Minecraft eventually says failure to connect. I shut down the server and booted it back up but that didn’t work either.

Reproduction Steps

  • I restarted the server.
  • I updated the server.
  • I configured certain rulings in the server to see if it would start up
  • I reduced the player limit to test if that was bugging out the server
  • I removed the whitelist

Make sure that you have the server port forwarded properly.
Also, what MC Server Type is this?

It’s a bedrock 1.20 server.

Can you connect to the server locally?

i can’t connect to the server at all

Microsoft has buggered with some of the auto-download stuffs, so that might be related.
Give this a try:

how can i do this? i am new to hosting and have zero clue what i am doing.

You would just follow those steps. If you’re with Hostinger, talk to their support.
