Problem Description

Issue

I get the error getsocketopt when trying to connect to my minecraft server. This even applys when i connect while being in the same network as the server. It did work fine before and was also reachable trough the static IP outside the network.

Reproduction Steps

  • Turn off the entire firewall for my server pc and the pc that I tried connecting to the server
  • Restarted the server a couple of times
  • checked if my internet connection is fine, it is.

Some people have gotten that error due to IPv6 shenanigans. I don’t use windows, so I can’t help you debug things in that regard, just a lead for you to follow.
