Problem Description

Issue

Game cannot connect through hostname, previous server setup could. Weird hostname / ip issues
Website on mydomain, com works, but connecting via ip now redirects to amp panel without SSL certificate
MC server now unreachable under domain name, only through ip directly
Old MC server setup without amp reachable via all domain names, but not directly through ip anymore

amp installed on fedora server 40
set up to run on app, mydomain, com
app created its nginx rules
app,mydomain,com control web interface works
switching dns server does resolve issues

connecting through cellular data allows connection to app, mydomain, com mc server, but connection through ip4 directly now not possible
connecting through cellular also wont work on mydomain, com but works on domain with the same dns records like mydomain,eu directing to the same ip

can provide logs, “,” in domains because of some limitation on this forum

Reproduction Steps

  • have a domain mydomain,com
  • install amp on app,mydomain,com
  • website on mydomain, com works, but connecting via ip now redirects to amp panel without ssl certificate - this is probably just nginx not having configured what to decide on and an unrelated problem
  • create a mc server instance
  • copy old server data into new instance
  • mc server now unreachable under domain name, only through ip directly
  • old mc server without amp reachable via all domain names, but not directly through ip anymore
