Problem Description

Issue

I have an old PC that I am using to host a Minecraft server. I am on the same WIFI as the PC running the server, and I can join with no issues at all. I have several friends that want to join and are not on the same WIFI, and they cannot join at all. The message they get around 30 seconds after waiting says “Connection Timed Out:getsockopt”

Reproduction Steps

  • I have asked AI
  • Watched a YT video on it
  • came her because this was my last resort

You will need to set up your router to port forward whatever ports you are using to the Minecraft server.
