Problem Description

Issue

I can join from local network just fine, but anyone joining from the internet gets “Failed to verify username!” error. I think it’s becasue the server can’t fetch their UUIDs, but I don’t have any idea why it can’t get theirs but can get mine. Local vs public should not make a difference weather server can communicate with mojang, and It’s always this error so not just people having invalid sessions.

Reproduction Steps

  • I have 60 mods on forge 43.2.11
  • I have set my IP to server-ip=192.168.1.1 in server.properties
  • I have Correctly (I think) port forwarded so traffic on 25565 can enter, I use gryphon router.

Forge networking shenanigans.
Just need to turn off: “Configuration” → “Server Settings” → “Dissalow proxied connections”
Then restart the server

That was already disabled, but I went ahead and fliped it back and forth and now it works. TYSM!
