Problem Description

Issue

I try to join my minecraft server but i get the message “authentication servers are down” do you know how long usually those are down or is there a place i can check the status of those servers

Reproduction Steps

  • try to join server
  • even restarted the server
  • still the same

That’s on Microsoft’s end. In the past the had an uptime tracker on twitter, but they stopped posting when the outages became constant in some areas.
Your best bet is to try restarting your client and PC, see if that helps at all.
Just to warn you: Switching the server to offline will mess up all your player data, so that’s not a fix.
